The Mississippi Rockets Mentorship and Basketball Training program offers children aged 7-16 a physical outlet, emphasizing a positive environment for holistic development. Using basketball as a tool, it instills moral values, self-discipline, pride in self and community, fostering physical and mental health, spiritual growth, social development, and critical thinking skills. Sessions are held at Shepherds Gym on Thursdays (6pm-8pm) and Sundays (4pm-7pm), by invitation. The program focuses not only on basketball skills but also on building a strong foundation of character in each child.
